Beskrivning
Campbeltown Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46.2%
The Gauldrons is Douglas Laing's Campbeltown blended malt, bringing together single malt whiskies from the small but historically important whisky-producing region on Scotland's Kintyre peninsula.
Part of Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts range, The Gauldrons takes its name from the dark, stormy coves on Campbeltown's west coast. The name translates as 'Bay of Storms', while the spider featured prominently on the label references the legend of Robert the Bruce, who is said to have taken inspiration from a spider's persistence while sheltering in a cave on the Kintyre coast.
Bottled in small batches at 46.2% without chill filtration or added colouring, The Gauldrons offers an accessible introduction to the distinctive character of Campbeltown malt whisky.
Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe sugary honeycomb, puffs of smoke and a mouth-coating sea salt tang, followed by a biscuit-y sweet finish.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
