Distilled at Tamnavulin in 2007 and matured for 16 years before being bottled in 2024 by Gordon & MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range.

This single cask Speyside whisky was matured in a refill Bourbon barrel, cask number 700370, and bottled on 18th March 2024 at a natural cask strength of 56.8% ABV. Bottled without chill filtration and with natural colour, the cask yielded just 178 bottles.

Tamnavulin takes its name from the Gaelic Tomnavoulin, meaning “mill on the hill”, a reference to the historic woollen mill that once stood close to the distillery in the rural village of Tomnavoulin. Established in 1966 beside the River Livet, the distillery was built during a period of rapid expansion in Scotch whisky production.

Gordon & MacPhail's tasting notes on the bottle describe fragrant pear with heather honey and lemon and lime zest, followed by rich citrus fruit, green apple and toasted almonds, with a long, spicy finish and herbal notes.
