Distilled at Tamdhu in 2014 and matured for 8 years before being bottled by independent bottler Douglas Laing for their Premier Barrel range.

This Speyside single malt was drawn from a single cask and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The release was limited to just 419 individually numbered ceramic decanters.

Douglas Laing's Premier Barrel range takes inspiration from the traditional ceramic whisky decanters of the Victorian era, with each small-batch or single-cask release presented in a distinctive handmade ceramic bottle.

Tamdhu was founded in 1897 beside the River Spey and has developed a particularly strong association with sherry cask maturation. The distillery was mothballed in 2010 before being acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2011, with production restarting in 2013. As a result, this 2014 vintage dates from the early years following Tamdhu's revival.
