Distilled at Tamdhu in 2014 and matured for 8 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing for their Premier Barrel range.

This Speyside single malt was drawn from a single cask and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The release was limited to just 386 individually numbered ceramic decanters.

Douglas Laing's Premier Barrel range takes inspiration from the traditional ceramic whisky decanters of the Victorian era, with each small-batch or single-cask release presented in a distinctive handmade ceramic bottle.

Tamdhu has a particularly strong association with sherry cask maturation, a tradition stretching back to the distillery's earliest years. Today, the distillery is known for its continued emphasis on maturation in sherry-seasoned oak, making independently bottled single casks such as this an interesting opportunity to explore Tamdhu outside its own distillery range.
