Tamdhu 2014-2022 | 8 Year Old Douglas Laing Provenance Single Cask DL16923
Beskrivning
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Distilled at Tamdhu in March 2014 and matured for eight years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in December 2022 for their Provenance range.
Drawn from a single refill hogshead, cask DL16923, this Speyside single malt was bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The cask produced a limited release of 416 bottles.
Douglas Laing's Provenance range focuses on single-cask and small-batch whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, bottled with an emphasis on presenting the individual character of the spirit and its maturation.
Tamdhu was founded in 1897 on the banks of the River Spey and is particularly associated today with sherry cask maturation. This independent bottling offers a different perspective on the distillery, with maturation in a refill hogshead allowing the underlying Tamdhu spirit to remain more prominent.
Tasting Notes: Creamy with caramelised nuts, citrus, spicy ginger and vanilla fudge, followed by sweet herbal, malt and honey notes, with a late drift of smoke. The finish brings brown toast alongside lingering honey and malt.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
