Rancho de la Luna Espadín Joven is a 100% agave Angustifolia (maguey espadín) mezcal artesanal produced in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca — roasted in a conical stone oven, milled by tahona, naturally fermented in wooden vats, and double-distilled in copper pots. Notes of fresh agave, clove, and roasted cashew.

As of 2020, Rancho de la Luna mezcal is produced by mezcalero Carlos Méndez Blas of Cruz de Fuego and Cuentacuentos in Santiago Matatlán, the traditional heart of Oaxacan mezcal production.
