Port Charlotte BC: 06 2010 Hand Filled Valinch 63.4%

A simply delicious 2010 vintage Distillery Valinch Port Charlotte from Islay’s Bruichladdich distillery. After being matured in a single first fill bourbon cask for 11 years this release was then hand bottled at the distillery at a cask strength of 63.4% abv. Port Charlotte single malts are peated to a phenol level of 40ppm. The tall narrow neck stills used result in a new make spirit that is elegant, aromatic and rich and this release is no exception. Enjoy this single cask whisky for its complex sweeter flavours of vanilla and stone fruits with notes of ash, tobacco and spices with plenty of peat that lingers on the finish.
