A single cask Macallan 2003 20-year-old Speyside single malt whisky, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2023 for their superb Speymalt series at full strength without colouring or chill filtration.

This 20-year-old Macallan 2003 Speymalt was matured in a single first fill sherry hogshead, cask 13603613, which yielded just 298 bottles at a mighty natural cask strength of 59.1%.

The smaller size of a hogshead gives the whisky greater contact with the oak than a larger sherry butt, making this a particularly enticing prospect after two decades of maturation. A spectacular-looking Speymalt from G&M and, by any measure, extraordinary value for a 20-year-old Macallan of this pedigree.
