A single cask Macallan 2001 18-year-old Speyside single malt whisky, bottled in 2020 by Gordon & MacPhail for their superb Speymalt range.

This 18-year-old Speymalt Macallan 2001 was drawn from single cask 3433, which yielded just 215 bottles at its natural cask strength of 51.1%. With its deep amber colour and relatively small outturn, this looks like another classic old-school Speymalt Macallan, bottled at full strength after nearly two decades of maturation.

Gordon & MacPhail’s long relationship with Macallan has produced some outstanding Speymalt releases over the years, and these older single casks remain one of the more accessible ways to find mature independently bottled Macallan. A very appealing 2001 vintage with plenty of age and a satisfyingly robust cask strength.
