Beskrivning
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Distilled at Linkwood in September 2012 and matured for 10 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in September 2022 for their Provenance range.
This Speyside single malt was drawn from a single refill hogshead, cask DL16340, yielding 332 bottles at 46% ABV. As with other releases in the Provenance range, it was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.
Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe the nose as aromatic, clean and crisp, with a cereal character and late citrus. The palate brings vanilla toffee alongside gingery and peppery spices and barley, leading to a long, sugary-sweet finish with gently changing spice.
Linkwood is known for a relatively light and elegant style of spirit, with production traditionally handled with particular care to minimise disturbance during fermentation and distillation. This approach helps preserve the fruity and floral character for which the distillery has long been valued, both by blenders and independent bottlers.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
