Lindores Abbey 2021 5 Year Old Single Malt Whisky Thompson Bros 55.9%

The first ever independently bottled Lindores Abbey whisky, by Thompson Bros. This is a bright and youthful Lowland single malt was distilled in 2021. Originally filled into an ex-bourbon barrel in March 2021 before re-racking into an Oloroso STR cask in October 2024. Bottling was in 2026 at a great cask strength of 55.9% abv. One of just 299 bottles.

The delicious oily palate offers notes of maple syrup, orange marmalade, caramel and dark fruits. All this is balanced by herbal, nutty characteristics with a slightly earthy wood spice.
