Distilled at Tobermory in 1996 and matured for 28 years before being bottled in 2025 by Gordon & MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range.

This single cask Island whisky was matured in a refill American hogshead, cask number 88, and bottled on 4th February 2025 at a natural cask strength of 53.4% ABV. Bottled without chill filtration and with natural colour, the cask yielded just 223 bottles.

Ledaig is the peated spirit produced at Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. Although now firmly established as part of the distillery's range, older Ledaig of this age is considerably less common, particularly from the 1990s. 28 years in a refill cask allows the distillery's smoky character to remain prominent while developing greater fruit and complexity over nearly three decades.

Gordon & MacPhail's tasting notes describe lemon and lime zest with gorse flowers and fresh mint, followed by pineapple, walnut and peach alongside rich smoke. The finish brings tropical fruit, black pepper and bonfire embers.
