Beskrivning

La Luna Mezcal Cupreata is a traditional Michoacán mezcal made from wild agave Cupreata harvested after eight to ten years — fire-roasted, hand-milled, and double-distilled in a copper-and-pinewood Tarascan still.

Made in Etúcuaro, Michoacán, at an elevation of 1,790 meters, La Luna comes from the Peréz Escot family at Destiladora Las Azucenas, who have crafted mezcal on the same property since 1910 and are now into their fourth generation. The agave piñas are fire-roasted in a stone-lined horno using estate white oak, milled by hand, naturally fermented in open-air wooden vats, and double-distilled in a copper-and-pinewood Tarascan still. Because the process is fully artisanal, the ABV varies by batch.
