Distilled at Jura in 2012 and matured for 10 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing for their Premier Barrel range.

This Island single malt was drawn from a single cask and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The release was limited to just 388 individually numbered ceramic decanters.

Douglas Laing's Premier Barrel range takes inspiration from the traditional ceramic whisky decanters of the Victorian era, with each small-batch or single-cask release presented in a distinctive handmade ceramic bottle.

Jura's remote island location has played an important part in the distillery's identity. Rebuilt and reopened in 1963, the distillery was designed to produce a relatively light style of spirit, with its unusually tall stills encouraging greater copper contact during distillation.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe honeycomb, citrus and juicy fruit on the nose, followed by barley sugar and a touch of spice on the palate, with a satisfyingly syrupy and spicy finish.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers.
