Distilled at Jura Distillery in April 2011, this single cask whisky was matured in a refill barrel for 11 years before being bottled in August 2022. Cask DL16019 yielded just 208 bottles, released at natural cask strength without colouring or chill filtration.

Jura's island location off Scotland's west coast gives the distillery a distinctive place within the Highland whisky region. Although Jura has produced a variety of styles over the years, its spirit can show a combination of cereal sweetness, fruit and gentle coastal character, making single cask independent bottlings particularly interesting.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe an early distinct malt quality on the nose with a biscuit and jam style, followed by a tang of oak with generous spiced fruit and caramel on the palate. The finish brings molasses, juicy barley and later gentle oak on the finish.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers.
