Beskrivning
Highland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 48%
An excellent single grain Scotch whisky from Invergordon Distillery, distilled in October 2002 and bottled by Douglas Laing in January 2023 at 20 years old for their Clan Denny range.
This single cask Invergordon 2002 was matured in a refill butt and bottled without colouring or chill filtration. Cask DL17033 yielded 698 bottles.
Invergordon is one of Scotland's best-known grain whisky distilleries and is unusual in being located in the Highlands, close to the shores of the Cromarty Firth. Established in the early 1960s, its large-scale column stills produce grain whisky primarily for blending, while well-aged single cask releases such as this offer the chance to explore mature Invergordon in its own right.
Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe sweet vanilla, home-baking, Madeira cake and sugary donuts on the nose. The palate is full of runny honey, golden syrup and milk chocolate, with a long and lingering finish of sweet cereals and crème anglaise.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
