Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 53.1

Distilled at Inchgower in July 2013 and matured for 9 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in October 2022 for their Provenance range.

This Speyside single malt was drawn from a single refill hogshead, cask DL16709, and bottled exclusively for the UK at a cask strength of 53.1% ABV. Just 84 bottles were produced, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe gentle spice leading to freshly baked buttery biscuits and candied lemon peel on the nose. The palate is thick, creamy and moreish with baking spice, barley and gently charred oak, followed by a long finish with brown sugar and honeycomb.

Inchgower's coastal location at Buckie, close to the Moray Firth, places it somewhat apart from the heartland of Speyside. The distillery produces a robust style of spirit that has traditionally been prized for blending, leaving independently bottled single casks such as this a relatively uncommon way to explore Inchgower on its own.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
