Glenlochy 1975-2001 | 26 Year Old Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask Single Cask
Beskrivning
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 50%
Distilled in March 1975 at the now-silent Glenlochy Distillery and bottled by Douglas Laing in June 2001, this 26-year-old single malt was bottled for their highly regarded Old Malt Cask series. Drawn from a single cask and bottled at OMC traditional strength of 50% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, allowing the whisky's natural character to shine through.
Glenlochy was one of Scotland's lesser-known Highland distilleries, operating in Fort William until its closure in 1983. Official bottlings are exceptionally rare, making independent releases such as this an increasingly sought-after opportunity to experience the distillery's distinctive style.
Filled from a single cask that produced just 258 bottles, this is a fine example of Glenlochy, capturing the character of a lost Highland distillery through one of Douglas Laing's classic early Old Malt Cask releases.
Please note the lid on the box is detached.
