Distilled at Glenburgie on 5th September 1995 and matured for 30 years before being bottled on 24th June 2026 by Signatory Vintage for their Symington's Choice range.

Symington's Choice is Signatory Vintage's range of specially selected casks chosen by company founder Andrew Symington, with an emphasis on mature and distinctive single cask whiskies.

This single cask Speyside whisky was finished in a first-fill Amontillado sherry hogshead, cask number 212, and bottled at a natural cask strength of 48.3% ABV. The cask yielded just 338 bottles.

This whisky was distilled in 1995, during the final decade of production at the old Glenburgie distillery before its extensive reconstruction in 2004. The redevelopment saw much of the existing plant replaced and production subsequently expanded, meaning long-aged Glenburgie from the mid-1990s represents spirit produced under the distillery's earlier configuration.

August 2026 saw Signatory Vintage release four 30 year old Glenburgie single casks as part of the Symington's Choice range, each showcasing a different style of sherry cask finish: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, Palo Cortado and Amontillado. Distilled in 1995 and matured for three decades, the four releases offer a fascinating opportunity to explore how these contrasting sherry cask styles can shape the same beautifully matured Glenburgie spirit, from the richer influence of Oloroso and PX to the more delicate, nutty and aromatic character associated with Palo Cortado and Amontillado.
