Distilled at Glen Elgin in 2009 and bottled by Adelphi in 2026, this 16-year-old Speyside single malt was matured in a refill Oloroso sherry hogshead before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.1% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, allowing the character of both the distillery and the cask to shine through.

Glen Elgin has long been prized by blenders for its rich, fruity and honeyed spirit, yet its single malt releases remain relatively scarce. Refill Oloroso maturation is particularly well suited to the distillery's elegant style, adding gentle layers of dried fruit, toasted nuts and subtle spice while preserving Glen Elgin's signature orchard fruit sweetness and soft malt character.

Drawn from single cask #806922, this release yielded just 235 bottles, offering an excellent opportunity to experience Glen Elgin's understated Speyside character enhanced by the restrained influence of refill Oloroso sherry oak.
