Introducing "Death by Chocolate" our latest single barrel exclusive.

Like our previous single barrel release "Antique Cola" we want to challenge the status quo of what can be done with a single barrel.

This is the first-ever in the world private barrel Elijah Craig that’s had a custom bespoke gift box produced alongside it.

"Death by Chocolate" is a 10 year old single barrel from the legendary Elijah Craig at Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky.

This decadent delight was bottled at only 118.7 proof which is more on the sweeter side as opposed to most barrel proofs being 120 proof or higher.

When we sampled this, we knew straight away that this was the one. It’s the perfect bridge between those who love the full suite of flavours only a barrel proof can provide and those who are just venturing into the higher proofs.

We just kept getting prominent notes of milk chocolate, fudge and bourbon chocolate truffles as it was just so sweet and rich like the dessert. So we aptly named it "Death by Chocolate".

For the custom artwork, we had it professionally designed and wanted to depict a ‘death by chocolate’ in a unique way that would complement the existing style. We also wanted to push the envelope further by creating this bespoke gift box to accompany the bottle creating a truly one-of-a-kind collectors item.
