Distilled at Caol Ila in June 2014 and matured for eight years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in August 2022 as part of their Provenance range.

This Islay single malt was drawn from a single refill hogshead, cask DL16269, yielding 406 bottles at 46% ABV. As with other releases in the Provenance series, it was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.

Douglas Laing's Provenance range focuses on single-cask and small-batch whiskies selected to showcase the individual character of their distilleries, typically bottled at 46% ABV and presented without colouring or chill filtration.

Caol Ila is one of Islay's largest distilleries, with much of its production historically destined for blended Scotch whisky. Its tall stills and relatively long, downward-sloping lyne arms help produce a lighter style of peated spirit, often characterised by clean smoke, citrus and maritime notes.

Tasting Notes: Clean and coastal, with gentle peat smoke, sea salt and citrus alongside sweet malt, warming spice and a lingering smoky finish.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
