A single cask 1984 Caol Ila bottled as a 34-year-old without colouring or chill filtration in 2019 by Gordon & MacPhail for their upgraded Connoisseur's Choice range.

This 34-year-old Caol Ila 1984 matured in a refill sherry hogshead cask #6078 that yielded just 192 bottles at its highly promising natural cask strength of 52.5%. The mid-1980s were a tough time for the whisky industry, and particularly for Islay whisky, but the spirit made at Caol Ila in that troubled decade has stood the test of time admirably. This will be fabulous stuff.
