Leaving aside the highly collectable nature of this bottling for a moment. The Caol Ila 15yo was easily the best dram in the whole Flora & Fauna range for a long time. Early batches like this one were especially fantastic with lush green and tropical fruit notes over thick tarry peat and notes of creosote, medicine and sea air. Great, complex and thrilling whisky.
