Blair Athol 2013 | 8 Year Old Douglas Laing Premier Barrel Single Cask
Beskrivning
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
A Blair Athol 2013 8-year-old Highland single malt whisky bottled by Douglas Laing for their distinctive Premier Barrel series.
Distilled in 2013 and matured for eight years, this Blair Athol was drawn from a single cask that yielded 343 hand-filled ceramic decanters. It was bottled at 46% without added colouring or chill filtration, preserving the whisky’s natural character.
Blair Athol is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland and is best known as an important component of Bell’s blended whisky, meaning official single malt releases have traditionally been relatively uncommon. Independent bottlings such as this offer a useful opportunity to explore the distillery’s typically rich, malty Highland character on its own.
Douglas Laing’s Premier Barrel releases are immediately recognisable for their old-fashioned ceramic decanters and deliberately flamboyant labels, with each edition showcasing a single cask from an individual Scottish distillery.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
