Blair Athol 2013-2022 | 8 Year Old Douglas Laing Provenance Single Cask DL15648
Beskrivning
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Distilled at Blair Athol in November 2013 and matured for 8 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in March 2022 for their Provenance range.
This Highland single malt was drawn from a single refill hogshead, cask DL15648, yielding 376 bottles at 46% ABV. As with other releases in the Provenance range, it was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.
Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe warm apple pie with brown sugar and custard alongside a fresh fruit medley on the nose, followed by creamy and mouth-coating cereals, honeyed barley and orchard fruits on the palate. The finish lingers with warming spiciness plus orange cream, filo pastry and toasted oak.
Blair Athol is situated in Pitlochry and is known for producing a relatively full-bodied Highland spirit. The distillery uses traditional worm tub condensers, which reduce copper contact during condensation and help contribute to the weight and character of its new make spirit.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
