Blair Athol 2011-2022 | 10 Year Old Douglas Laing Provenance Single Cask DL15572
Beskrivning
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Distilled at Blair Athol in September 2011 and matured for 10 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in February 2022 for their Provenance range.
This Highland single malt was drawn from a single refill barrel, cask DL15572, yielding 336 bottles at 46% ABV. As with other Provenance releases, it was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.
Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe robust spices coupled with ripe peaches and Highland heather honey on the nose, juicy raisins alongside thick, creamy caramel developing to a rich marzipan style on the palate. The finish lingers long with a fresh vanilla and toasted barley character.
Blair Athol stands in the Perthshire town of Pitlochry and is one of the principal malt whiskies used in Bell's. The distillery's traditional worm tub condensers contribute to the weight and texture of its spirit, making independently bottled examples such as this an interesting opportunity to explore Blair Athol as a single malt.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
