A 13 year old Blair Athol named ‘Ginger liquorice Herbal Tea’ from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
Distilled 2nd of March 2011 then filled initially into an ex-bourbon hogshead for 11 years before transferring into a 1st fill STR ex-Oloroso seasoned barrique.
A great spicy and dry whisky with flavours akin to walnut bread and ginger liquorice herbal tea. One of an out-turn of 173 bottles.
