Benromach Contrasts: Peat Smoke is a heavily peated Speyside single malt, produced using malted barley peated to a significantly higher level than that used for the distillery's traditional lightly smoky house style.

Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024, this release was matured for nine years exclusively in first-fill Bourbon barrels. The use of heavily peated barley, at a phenol level of 57PPM, combines Benromach's characteristic fruit-driven spirit with a much more pronounced smoky character.

The distillery's tasting notes describe fragrant vanilla alongside lemon sherbet and apricot, leading into a smoky finish with bonfire embers. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration.
