Benromach 15 Year Old is matured exclusively in first-fill casks, combining the distillery's traditional Speyside character with rich fruit, oak and a subtle smoky influence.

First introduced in 2015, Benromach 15 Year Old has gone on to win numerous awards and remains one of the distillery's most highly regarded core range bottlings. Produced at the family-owned distillery in Forres, it reflects Benromach's traditional approach to whisky making and the gently smoky character for which the distillery has become known.

Benromach describes cracked pepper and charred oak alongside apples, dark chocolate and forest fruits, with rich sherry notes developing through the palate and a touch of smoke running throughout. The extended maturation gives this 15-year-old a richer and more mature profile than the younger whiskies in the Benromach range, while still retaining the recognisable house style.

Bottled at 43% ABV with natural colour, Benromach 15 Year Old is a well-established part of the distillery's core range and an excellent example of its traditional Speyside style.

Tasting Notes

Official Tasting Notes

Colour: Dark Amber.

Nose: Aromas of sweet toffee leading to notes of cracked black pepper and peat smoke. Rich forest fruits develop with dark chocolate and dried banana.

Palate: Creamy and sweet with ripe apples and an undertone of charred oak. Dark chocolate develops and leads to toasted malt and orange peel with a subtle hint of smoke.

Finish: Medium creamy finish with soft smoke and dried fruit.
