Ben Nevis 2014 | 8 Year Old Douglas Laing Premier Barrel Single Cask
Beskrivning
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Distilled at Ben Nevis in 2014 and matured for 8 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing for their Premier Barrel range.
This Highland single malt was drawn from a single cask and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The release was limited to 410 individually numbered ceramic decanters.
Douglas Laing's Premier Barrel range takes inspiration from the traditional ceramic whisky decanters of the Victorian era, with each single-cask release presented in a distinctive handmade ceramic bottle.
Ben Nevis sits at the foot of Britain's highest mountain on the outskirts of Fort William. The distillery traditionally produces a robust, full-bodied style of Highland malt, with long fermentation and relatively slow distillation helping to create the weight and character for which its spirit is known.
Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe creamy cereal and toffee on the nose, followed by a mouth-coating palate with a touch of marmalade, leading to a finish of citrus, sugar and spice.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
