This Ben Nevis 12 year old is a a small batch release by Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Crafted by marrying the contents of two casks.
With the initial casks being ex-bourbon hogsheads then final casks being new American oak HTMC hogshead and first fill American oak PX hogshead. The resulting whisky has a great character that’s both spicy and sweet.
One of just 569 bottles that were bottled at 57.4% abv.
