Balvenie 19 Year Old A Revelation of Cask & Character Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

This particular Sherry Oak maturation whisky is the result of years of curiosity and learning, but our story begins with an unexpected discovery even longer ago.

Oak casks were used to transport whisky, and by the time it reached its destination, the whisky would have taken on some of the depth and richness of whatever liquid these casks once held. Storage in certain casks became a conscious rather than circumstantial choice.

This Single Malt was aged entirely in European oak Oloroso Sherry casks, the first whisky from Balvenie's Stories Collection that has been matured entirely in Sherry casks.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Intense ripe fruits and caramelised orange peel reveal beautifully toasted oak and milled barley.

Taste: Bold and balanced, flavours of currants, cherries and raisins give way to chewy fig, rich cacao and a creamy nutty finish.

Finish: Long and lingering.
