The Balvenie Islay Cask 17 year old was a limited edition extra matured in casks that previously held Islay Single Malts. The result was a whisky with a beautiful medicinal, mineral and coastal streak running through it but still retaining Balvenie's signature honey note. Lovely and interesting whisky that is surprisingly hard to find nowadays.
