Ballechin 2005 17 Year Old Burgundy Wine Casks 53.5%

Heavily-peated single malt from Edradour is often matured in a wide variety of oak and this is no exception. This 17-year-old was matured in first-fill Burgundy hogsheads to offer aromas of burnt liquorice, cherry jam and smoked leather on the nose, with abundant dark fruit notes on the palate, including plum, cherry and blackcurrant.
