Beskrivning
Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Distilled at Auchentoshan in March 2016 and matured for 8 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in June 2024 for their Provenance range.
This Lowland single malt was drawn from a single refill barrel, cask DL19101, yielding 337 bottles at 46% ABV. It was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.
Douglas Laing's Provenance range showcases single cask and small batch whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, typically bottled with a focus on natural presentation and the individual character of the spirit.
Auchentoshan is unusual among Scottish malt distilleries for its use of triple distillation across its entire production. The spirit passes through three copper pot stills rather than the more common two, producing a higher-strength new make spirit and contributing to the lighter style traditionally associated with the distillery.
Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe a warm, nutty nose developing towards caramel, spice and brown sugar. The palate is rich and creamy, with buttery notes, baking spices and barley, followed by a sweet, gristy finish with vanilla, oak and butterscotch.
Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
