This single cask Highland whisky was matured in refill American hogshead number 10894, yielding just 235 bottles at a natural cask strength of 52% ABV. Released as a UK Exclusive, it was bottled without chill filtration and with natural colour.

Ardmore remains one of the Highlands' traditionally peated distilleries, and whisky from this period is particularly interesting as the distillery was still operating its stills with direct coal firing during the 1990s. Long-aged Ardmore from this era has developed a strong reputation among enthusiasts and independent bottlers.

Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range dates back to 1968 and has become one of the independent bottler's longest-running series, showcasing individual distilleries and carefully selected casks from across Scotland.
