Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19-year-old appeared in 2019 as the distillery's first core range age statement whisky in almost two decades since Ardbeg 10-year-old launched in the year 2000.

Named after Islay's famous "Singing Sands" beach, this bottling was the first of the ongoing annual releases of Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19-year-old, which is matured in American oak and ex-oloroso sherry casks and has been bottled at a hearty 46.2%. 

Ardbeg Traigh Bhan is something of throwback to the glory days of Ardbeg 17-year-old, with flavours of chargrilled exotic fruit, honeyed sweetness, Ardbeg's trademark chocolate and smoky, ashy, turfy phenols. A bottling that shows the value of properly maturing heavily-peated Islay single malt whisky - this is a great combination of potent, powerful flavours on a surprisingly elegant palate.
