The Aberlour A’Bunadh Alba Batch 5 is named after the Quercus Alba variety of American white oak used to craft the ex-bourbon barrels in which this whisky rested. Bottled a robust cask strength of 62.7% abv this dram packs a real punch. There’s fresh green apples, sweet pears and vanilla cream aromas, followed by explosions of citrus lemon zest, tangy grapefruit and all-butter shortbread on the palate. Enjoy the rewarding sweet and smooth finish with hints of toasted almonds.
